  Were YOU Depressed When You Were A Witness?

  i've seen soooo many witnesses taking meds or alcohol because of unhappiness and depression.

  i know of one woman who regularly gos to her shrink and is the most depressed person that i know of.

  personally, i believe it's because a jw can never do enough to satisfy god or the elders....what do you think?

  It is all how you look at it isn't it

  perspective.......example: my in laws look at the "truth" as a wonderful thing that changed their lives.

  mother in law was married at 14 to an abusive drinker she was a child having children .

  she studied and was abused by him more because of his possesiveness.

  our vacation plans

  next month my husband and i are going to visit his jw mother and step- father in florida .

  they are aware we are no longer attending meetings, but during recent visit here said nothing about it .

  well i just received an email from stepdad (elder) he went on about how busy we will be sight seeing that week, and with meetings on mon,wed,and sunday.

  My District Convention Last Weekend

  well, iast weekend was my dc.

  it was at the merrell center in katy tx.. for those of you not in this district, this is the one which encompasses the houston, texas area.

  several years ago we were holding our dc in the astrodome, the whole district on one weekend.

  ok, so i'm self employed and i recently added some consulting work to my business.. i'm not going to give too many details, but,,, part of my brain must still be stuck in j-dub mode.

  as i identify myself to the gm of the business that i'm.

  i had a door-to-door visit from two jws yesterday morning.

  the first in a long time (with the exception of the obligatory memorial invite).

  i live in a fairly small town, but these two, i did not recognize.

  am I welcome here?...I am not JW

  or an apostate..hate that term..i walked away from it, i dont believe any of it anymore.

  so who is going to be the first to tell me to leave so as not to taint the board?.

  i am 48 female married 30 yrs to same man, very moral, no drugs no alcohol no smokes..just common plain jane here..since i dont believe does this make me bad association..if it does i laugh in your face...now having said that and getting past this, sounds like so many here are disgruntled..if so why do you stay?
